It Is Finished

Two thousand years ago the day became dark and three men died on three crosses on a hill.  One cried out as he died, It is finished. What He finished was His sacrifice of His life for me.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

Dark Night of the Soul

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for Thou art with me; Psalm 23:4

I experience many deaths as I walk in the valley searching for healing in the leaves and hope in the cross. These leaves were collected on travels in places that have meaning to me.  I die to self seeking and come alive to seek Him.

   Serenity Path

 There is a garden walk in our park here in Madisonville that I helped to develop called the Serenity Path. But no path will give me the serenity I seek within myself. I tend this little garden within and hope it will grow into a place Jesus Himself will inhabit.  As a little girl I learned to sing all the verses of an old hymn, In the Garden because the old ladies at the nursing home loved it. I am beginning to understand why they loved that song.
