Barbie at Work

Christian artist, Barbie Hunt is a potter and painter. She operated Pennyroyal Pottery in the 80's and in the 90's served as director of the Glema Mahr Center for the Arts in Madisonville, Kentucky.

In 1998, she returned to creating art and opened Barbie Hunt Studio and Gallery on Main Street in Madisonville, Kentucky. Today she creates functional hand crafted vessels in porcelain and stoneware and develops water media and collage images drawn from her faith journey.

She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Painting and Sculpture and two Masters Degrees in Ceramics and English Literature. She has completed many private commissions for businesses, law offices, churches and homes. Barbie's work has been exhibited in numerous regional juried art exhibits and shows.
