It has been my privilege to pray with and to know women who have been trafficked, prostituted and abused; I have been soaked in their tears as they experience the extravagant love of God. As they come to know the love of Jesus for them and the forgiveness and freedom only He can give, they are changed forever. They are the most beautiful weeping roses in the garden.
This painting is one of my new series, “From my Sanctuary Garden” where I see the flowers as my connection from heaven to earth and my spirit connects with my soul and the canvas. In the garden, butterflies become stories of freedom I see in times of prayer with people, the bees are sharing the goodness from flower to flower as we do when we tell the good news of Jesus and the flowers display His extravagant love.
