UNLIMITED

$300.00

Collage with gingko leaf on canvas on board.

This acrylic collage is 28.5 × 29 inches and framed in a bronzed wood frame. There are layers of meaning in this painted gingko leaf from the trees at the courthouse down the street from my studio. The cross, boxed in by the layer of wrapped canvas on canvas, is released as the healing (gingko trees are known for their healing properties) increases. The colors enhance the concept of release as the gingko leaf is painted gold and gold is release in the cross.

This work came about when I read the story of Mephibosheth, the man crippled as a child. After King David was restored in his relationship with God the first thing he wanted to do was show the same UNLIMITED mercy to someone as underserving as he. That is the message, the cross releases us into the UNLIMITED mercy, love and kindness of God.

Blessings,

Barbie

“The king said, is there not still someone of the house of Saul to whom I may show the unfailing, unsought, unlimited mercy and kindness of God?” 2 Samuel 9:1 (AMP)
